Your very own cottage in the woods, this independent contemporary chalet, which sleeps 6 people, makes an idyllic country retreat for a relaxing holiday in the heart of nature. Guests will enjoy the tranquil surroundings but also the easy access to some of Slovenia’s popular tourist destinations.
The front door opens into the spacious, wood-panelled living area. There is a stylish modern staircase up to the 2 bedrooms and straight ahead is the open-plan sitting/dining area. The far wall is made up of a large glass window and doors which lead out to a private deck. The deck is furnished with a table and chairs, for relaxed meals al fresco.
Inside, the room is furnished with a contemporary corner sofa, a wood-burning stove, large flat-screen TV and a wooden dining table for 6. The open kitchen is on the far side of the room and is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and kettle.
Sleeping
Bedroom 1: On the first floor, this cosy, wood-lined bedroom is furnished with a wooden double bed, a single bed and a wardrobe. A glass door leads out onto a balcony
Bedroom 2: Tucked under the eaves, this second bedroom also has a double bed and a single bed, plus a wardrobe.
Extra: The sofa in the living area converts into a comfortable double bed.

The ground-floor bathroom has a shower, basin and WC.

Location
Just 1 hour from the charming Slovenian capital, Ljubljana, the chalet is in the heart of the unspoilt Notranjsko-Kraska region. The region is ideal for cycling and there are many mountain bike routes and hiking trails which allow visitors to get out into nature.
Not to be missed is the wild Lake Cerknica (27 minutes) and Notranjski Park (20 minutes), with its population of bears, lynx and wolves. Also the Krizna Jama cave complex (12 minutes) with its 22 underground lakes connected by waterways. Visitors explore the caves in kayaks, a magical experience.
Ljubljana makes a fascinating day trip. It is a small city packed with history. A tour of its medieval castle is not to be missed. Neither is a visit to the Central Market where you can find fresh local produce and regional delicacies.
Ljubljana’s international airport is a 1 hour 5 minute drive.
