Indulge in the unique beauty of Dolenjska at this deliciously tranquil and lush Vineyard cottage set on a sun-soaked hillside of Otočec!
Vineyard cottage tourism is a unique, authentic, and attractive tourist experience with a genuine offer of the Slovenian countryside. This traditional and perfectly preserved 1-bedroom cottage for up to 4 guests is ideal for families, elderly guests and couples. Inside, there is every modern amenity to enjoy a carefree and comfortable self-catering stay all year: this includes air-conditioning, central heating, flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi and kitchen utilities.
The cottage features a picturesque open-air dining area and a wine cellar where the host welcomes you and invites you for a tasting. In summer, you can enjoy a rustic experience and sleep in the attic under a thatched roof. In the immediate vicinity is a Finnish sauna in a 7,000-liter wooden barrel and a massage tub for total relaxation. You can also try homemade bread, salami and cheese. Seasonal vegetables and fruits from the garden are available to guests. It is possible to visit Matjaž’s homestead, see the cultivation and indulge in wine tasting.

On request and pre-booking: We can also organize a sound bath (gong, crystal bowls,...), Indian head massage, acupressure massage on a special ergonomic chair, apitherapy, electric bicycle rental and a ride with old timers through the wine hill. Guests can also receive a key to the cellar and pour their wine for an additional fee.

Close by, there is also a golf course to enjoy. If you’re craving water-based fun, then the banks of Krka River are a 30-minute drive away. Here, you can relax, swim, or even rent a kayak to explore the river’s tranquil waters.
When it comes to dining, Otočec offers both traditional Slovenian cuisine and international flavours. Indulge in local delicacies such as potica (rolled pastry with various fillings) or try freshly caught fish from the river. For your convenience, several amenities are within easy reach of your holiday rental. Supermarkets, pharmacies, and the mall can be found within a 5 to 10-minute drive, ensuring you have everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The nearest international airport is in Ljubljana, about a 70-minute drive from the cottage.
