The ideal destination for a couple or family who want to escape from it all. This tranquil cottage, for 4 people, is set in stunning, unspoiled countryside, surrounded by vineyards and forests.
The cottage (tastefully converted from a former wine store and sometime watchman’s cottage) is spread over 2 floors, above a wine cellar, where guests can sample and buy the owner’s wines. On the first floor, there is a spacious, open-plan living area with a comfortable corner sofa, flat-screen TV, cosy wood-burning stove, which heats the house during the winter months, and a dining table. The separate kitchen, off the main living area, is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, fridge, freezer and american style coffee machine. There is a charming, covered terrace at the back of the house, complete with a wood-burning grill, BBQ and an outside dining area.
The extensive garden includes sun loungers where guests can relax.

Bedroom: This second-floor bedroom is furnished with traditional pieces including a double bed and antique wardrobe, plus a private balcony.
Extra: The sofa also converts into a double bed.

Location
Just a 50-minute drive from Ljubljana in the idyllic Dolenjska region, famous for its wines and thermal springs, this cottage is a wonderful holiday retreat. Ljubljana makes a fascinating day trip. Zagreb, the Croatian capital, is only 1 hour and 20 minutes away, so is also an option for a day out. Closer to home the historic town of Novo Mesto (30 minutes) has everything visitors might need in terms of amenities, plus paddle boarding, boat hire, rafts and canoes.
Ljubljana’s international airport is a 1 hour 5 minute drive.
