The Byre

The Byre is a charming, two-storey barn conversion cottage offering excellent self-catering accommodation in Combe Martin. Sleeping up to five guests across three bedrooms, it’s the perfect spot for couples or small families. A highlight is its wonderful master bedroom with Juliette balcony that enjoys glorious views. Boasting a homely and cosy feel throughout, The Byre is ideal for stays on the North Devon coast all year round. The spacious ground floor at The Byre is open plan with a good-sized lounge/dining area and a modern well-equipped kitchen. The cottage, which has lots of charm and character, retains many original features including wood beams and exposed stone walls. The lounge, which benefits from a wood-burning stove, has two large comfy sofas, as well as a TV with Freeview and a DVD player. To the rear of the lounge is the dining area that has a table to cater for up to five. A small step leads down to the bright and spacious kitchen, which has been fitted to a very good standard. Within the kitchen guests will find an electric oven with hob and a fridge with small freezer compartment. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The first bedroom is a single with a full-size bed; next door to this is the gorgeous master, which has its own private Juliet balcony that provides lovely views of the local countryside, as well as a double bed and plenty of storage facilities. The final bedroom is a twin with two 2’6’ wide single beds. The three bedrooms share the family bathroom, which is fitted with a shower over the bath, a wash basin and a WC. Guests have access to the full property. The keys to The Byre are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to check-in. Free parking is available in the communal on-site car park. For families staying with young children, a travel cot, a high chair and stair gates can be made available at no additional cost and should be requested at the time of booking. Please note linen is not provided for the cot. If needed during your stay, guests can take advantage of the free on-site shared laundry room, which has a washing machine and tumble dryer. The nearest train station to Combe Martin can be found 12 miles away in Barnstable. Barnstable Train Station has regular direct services operating to Exeter and Lynemouth. One bus route operates in Combe Martin. The 301 operates between Combe Martin, Ilfracombe and Barnstaple. The nearest airport to Combe Martin is Cardiff Airport which is 33 miles away.
