Lower Mill

Lower Mill is a lovely, ground floor cottage overlooking the Wheel Farm gardens and North Devon countryside. The pretty cottage is located within the original water mill building and is the perfect base for couples. Sleeping two guests, you’ll have access to a living room with log burner, a fully equipped kitchen, a double bedroom, and a bathroom. Plus you can bring your four-legged friends with you too as Lower Mill is dog friendly! Lower Mill occupies the ground floor of an old water mill building, which is still attached to the property giving it additional character. Accessed via its own private entrance, guests enter the hallway where boots and coats can be stored. This leads to the comfortable open plan living area, which features a nice double sofa, a TV with Freeview and a DVD player, as well as a cosy wood-burning stove. At the other end of the living area is the modern well-equipped kitchen, which is fitted with an electric oven with hob, a microwave, a slow cooker and a fridge with freezer compartment. Overlooking the gardens is the dining table that seats two. A large sliding door separates the main living area from the ensuite bedroom. The double bedroom has lovely views of the garden and fields beyond and includes a wood framed double bed, a chest of drawers and a fitted wardrobe. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, a wash basin and a WC. Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Lower Mill are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to check-in. Free parking is available in the communal on-site car park. For families staying with young children, a travel cot, a high chair and stair gates can be made available at no additional cost and should be requested at the time of booking. Please note linen is not provided for the cot. If needed during your stay, guests can take advantage of the free on-site shared laundry room, which has a washing machine and tumble dryer. The nearest train station to Combe Martin can be found 12 miles away in Barnstable. Barnstable Train Station has regular direct services operating to Exeter and Lynemouth. One bus route operates in Combe Martin. The 301 operates between Combe Martin, Ilfracombe and Barnstaple. The nearest airport to Combe Martin is Cardiff Airport which is 33 miles away.
