Zermatt luxury catered or self-catered chalet. The Chalet is our duplex attic apartment located in Casa Vanessa which is perched on a hilltop, yet very easy to get to. This is one of our favourite chalets because of its warm country farmhouse feel.
Access is very convenient via a tunnel lift which is 200 metres away from the Matterhorn Express base station and, in winter, the end point of the main resort ski run, thus making this in winter one of the few “ski-in” properties in Zermatt (please note that it is not technically “ski-in” since you ski to within 200m of the entrance tunnel). The church square with its boutiques and restaurants is just five minutes away in the other direction.
With its sloping wooden ceilings and extensive panelling, this cosy duplex attic chalet apartment offers 4 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (two have been completely renovated for 2020).
Offered on a catered or self-catered basis this Chalet offers you the perfect space for your family holiday.
Warm, cozy, with authentic alpine features like the wood burning fireplace which doubles up as an oven!

Tucked away in the Swiss Alps, Zermatt is a captivating mountain hamlet that presents a perfect fusion of natural splendor, thrilling outdoor pursuits, and warm-hearted Swiss hospitality. The village's claim to fame is its close proximity to the Matterhorn, one of the globe's most recognizable mountains. This awe-inspiring peak not only enhances the village's scenic beauty but also offers a plethora of hiking and skiing adventures.
Zermatt's charm is further accentuated by its car-free policy which ensures pristine mountain air and retains its traditional alpine allure. Electric taxis and horse-drawn carriages are common sights here, contributing to the village's distinctive character. The picturesque streets are adorned with boutique shops offering local crafts, luxury fashion items, and Swiss timepieces.
Outdoor enthusiasts will find Zermatt a haven with an array of activities on offer. During winter, it transforms into a skier’s paradise with over 360 kilometers of ski slopes catering to all abilities. Zermatt takes pride in its culinary scene boasting over 100 restaurants ranging from traditional Swiss establishments serving raclette and fondue to Michelin-starred venues offering gourmet dining experiences.
