Welcome to Cornerstone! This beautiful home just 5 minutes outside of Boone has been lovingly and completely renovated from the ground up in a two-year-long overhaul process that took the original home down to the studs, and as of Fall 2024 is all brand new and ready for you to experience!
The main level has an open and airy great room with exposed beams, gas fireplace, leather furniture, and TV over the mantle. At the end of the great room is a chef’s dream kitchen with yards of granite counters, an eat-in island with 4 bar chairs, stainless appliances including a gas range, two-toned custom cabinets, and a dining table with room for 6. Off the great room is a laundry nook as well.
Cornerstone offers ample areas for you and your loved ones to gather together to have fun, relax, and make memories. Head downstairs to the game room for a fun game of pool or poker. Step outside and enjoy a relaxing dip in the covered hot tub with waterfall feature, and after dark pull up an Adirondack chair to the in-ground stone firepit ring and roast marshmallows while you tell stories. On the main level deck, enjoy gracious outdoor living mountain style around the gas firetable.
Time for bed? Cornerstone offers four relaxing sleeping spaces. On the main level is a King suite with TV, access to the deck, and an ensuite bath with a tiled shower and double granite vanities. Upstairs is a second sleeping area, this one featuring a Queen bed and a full bath off the nearby hall with a tub/shower. On the lower level is a second King suite with TV and ensuite bath with shower and heated floors, as well as a fourth area offering two sets of built-in twin over twin bunk beds and access to a fourth bathroom down the hall with tub/shower.
Cornerstone is located very close to the Boone Golf Club, just 5 minutes away from Boone. It’s a perfect location for travelers who want to be close to everything the High Country offers while still feeling like you’re away from it all!
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION & RULES
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small
vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm, and check out is by 10am.
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms & Conditions sent by Host (property manager) or entry information will not be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and using their card to pay for it and must be one of the persons staying in the home for the
reserved dates.
- For your safety, the fan blades of the ceiling fan in the bunkroom have been disabled.
- No smoking inside the home, and no trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- This home is pet friendly for up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs with a pet fee of $25/nt per pet.
- Cornerstone is in a neighborhood with full-time residents close by. Vacationing guests are required to keep outdoor conversations and noise at a respectful level at all times.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Bookings cancelled with a 30+ day notice will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings cancelled between 15-29 days will receive half of their deposit back. Bookings cancelled with 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless your dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

The surrounding mountains are laced with a variety of hiking trails that cater to all levels of hikers - from leisurely strolls to more strenuous climbs. Although not directly passing through Boone, the Blue Ridge Parkway - often dubbed as "America's Favorite Drive" - is in close proximity and provides breathtaking scenic views. The culinary scene in Boone mirrors its Southern heritage with numerous comfort food options but also caters to global palates with international cuisine offerings. Craft beer aficionados will appreciate several local breweries.
