You’ll also find yourself in a perfect jumping off point for island exploring at Alii Kai 1201. Anini Beach and Hanalei Bay are both 5-10 min away, with incredible snorkeling and scuba diving at Tunnels Beach if you’re up for a longer trek. Hanalei town itself is only 10 minutes away, with an abundance of highly rated restaurants and boutique shops for all your retail therapy and dining needs! For the outdoor adventurers, the incomparable Kalalau Trail starts on the North Shore, offering hikes ranging from a few hours to a few days. If you want a break from the crowds we recommend a day trip out to the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge for some bird watching and a visit to the iconic Kilauea Lighthouse.
If you’re looking to stay a bit closer to home, the nationally ranked Makai golf course is a mere 10 minutes walking from your front door, and the Princeville shopping center is less than a mile away! In the center you’ll find a Foodland grocery store, and a variety of dining and dessert options that will satisfy even the pickiest in your party. For a true staycation, the Alii Kai complex has a pool and clubhouse on the grounds, as well as a gas grill that guests are free to use.
Looking to explore other parts of the island? Drive time to the South Shore is roughly 75 minutes, and to the East Side (where the airport is located) is 55 minutes.
As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned, however there are ceiling fans in each room and screen doors on the lanai to help with airflow.
This is an upstairs condo so you need to be able to go up and down one flight of stairs from the parking lot to the front door. There are no elevators.
