Welcome to 18 Summers – a family-friendly, dog-friendly private retreat in the Farm District on the edge of the forest. This home is all about its name, 18 Summers, and how parents and children have 18 summertimes together. It greets the family with an open covered porch and a view of the big sky over the canopied forest. Once inside, the spacing of the living area and kitchen is bright and airy, with a separate sunny breakfast nook and convenient mudroom. The furniture is cozy so you can all gather around the fireplace and Smart TV for family movie night. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms to sleep six family members or even two families. There’s an ensuite bathroom in the primary bedroom and a shared full bath off the second and bunkbed bedrooms. The bunkbeds are built-in, the floors hardwood, and the ceilings high. Take in the sun and surrounding nature by sitting outside at the firepit, accompanied by an additional propane heater for chilly evenings. Also in this paved outdoor space is the hot tub, where you can dip or soak by day or by night. Just across the way is Barnhill Park with a community firepit and seating, as well as Windgate Barn where the horses, chickens, and barncats live. Down the street the opposite way is the Sunrise Pool and Fitness Center amenity. Town center shopping, eating, and the arcade are an enjoyable 10-minute walk or a 5-minute bike ride from 18 Summers. Only 3 minutes beyond town center is the shoreline where the strolls are invigorating and the sunsets famous. This family-friendly retreat is perfect for a weekend at the beach, a wintertime getaway, and, of course, a summer vacation for the family.
