Location:
Villa Tila is located right in the heart of the ancient town of Pollensa, meaning that everything you’ll need to enjoy a memorable holiday is right on your doorstep. Pollensa is considered one of Mallorca’s most attractive towns, made up of winding cobbled streets, historic architecture and an impressive main square which is lined with cafes, restaurants and bars.
In Pollensa, you’ll find a vibrant mix of cultures that have influenced the monuments and buildings in the town over thousands of years, including the Calvari Steps and the medieval church and watchtower. The town is small and easy to explore on foot, but be aware that it can be a steep and uneven walk, so good footwear is a must! Every Sunday, a traditional market is held in the square offering fresh local produce and traditional fare, which is not to be missed - why not grab some local delicacies while you’re here and head back to the villa to rustle up a traditional Mediterranean feast for your guests!
During your time in Pollensa, be sure to visit Museo Dionis Bennassar, the home of a local artist that is now used to showcase his incredible works. This peaceful and inspirational place is the perfect spot for art lovers, as well for anyone who wants to enjoy some quiet contemplation while soaking up some local culture.
Pollensa isn’t known for its nightlife (you won’t find any big nightclubs here), but it does offer a warm and cosy buzz after dark! The area is one of the quieter holiday spots in Mallorca, so it’s never packed…locals and tourists socialise in the main square and along the seafront near to the port once the sun has gone down, and there’s a great atmosphere in and around the terrace bars and restaurants. A lot of the bars will have live music or karaoke, so you’re sure to find somewhere that has a vibe you’ll enjoy. If you really want to get your groove on, there is one small nightclub just off the main square that is open until the early hours and is popular with the younger crowd. If you’re looking for more intense nightlife, nearby Alcudia has bars and clubs aplenty, with popular haunts being Banana Club, Cafe Milano, and La Nit Music.
