This charming house for 6 people, is high on the hillside above Lake Garda. Surrounded by trees and nature, but just 10 minutes from the lakeside town of Gargnano, the house offers the best of both worlds. It makes a great base from which to explore this beautiful part of Italy.
At the front of the house, the private terrace has a shaded dining area, with an attractive stone table and a barbecue, so guests can enjoy meals al fresco, looking out over the lake. The front door opens into the spacious, recently renovated kitchen/diner. The kitchen consists of neat modern units and is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and a coffee machine. The dining table seats 6 people. The cosy sitting room is off the dining area and is furnished with sofa and a flat-screen TV. It offers lovely views of Lake Garda and a door opens directly onto the back terrace.

Location
Gargnano is part of the Alta Garda Bresciano Park, which means that the landscape and forests around the town are carefully nurtured. This means that there are stunning hiking and biking routes on your doorstep. Closer to the lake there are other walks which highlight the area’s fascinating history.
The town itself is one of the most beautiful on Lake Garda. Its historical heart is home to several stunning palaces and villas. There are also several lake beaches including the Spiaggia di Castello (8 minutes) and Spiaggia della Gial (9 minutes). Here visitors can enjoy various water sports, including paddle boarding, kayaking and boating. For a day out discovering other sites around the lake the ferry port is just 8 minutes from the house.
Further south down the lake is the charming town of Toscolano Maderno (15 minutes). Its historic centre and lakefront promenade make a wonderful day out.
Lake Garda is known for its fine food and excellent local produce. Visitors should explore the weekly markets for the finest regional ingredients. Gargnano’s market is every second Wednesday and Toscolano Maderno’s market takes place every Thursday.
The nearest airports are Verona Villafranca (2 hours drive) and Milan Bergamo (2 hours and 25 minute drive).
