Vineyard Cottage Stepan

A beautifully renovated vineyard cottage in the heart of Bela Krajina, south-eastern Slovenia. The cottage is a unique combination of traditional and contemporary, and has all the modern comforts guests need for a relaxing holiday. Spread over 2 floors, the cottage sleeps 6 people in comfort. The kitchen, which has a traditional brick stove, is fully equipped with a cooker hob, oven, fridge, freezer and an american style coffee machine. Guests can enjoy meals in the elegant dining area, furnished with a wooden table and chairs, with a glass door out onto the first-floor balcony. The stylish living room, with an attractive pitched ceiling and wooden floors, has a comfortable corner sofa, leather armchairs and a flat-screen TV. The carved wooden balcony on the first floor has a set of cane armchairs and a coffee table, where guests can relax and enjoy the wonderful views out over the unspoiled countryside. On the ground floor, there is a large wine cellar and an outdoor dining area which guests can hire for functions (€50.00/day). The cellar has a carved wooden bar and a large dining table for 15 people. Sleeping Bedroom 1: The airy master bedroom has a double bed, a wardrobe, flatscreen TV and a door out onto the balcony.
 Bedroom 2: The second bedroom, with wooden beams, has a double bed, two armchairs for reading in peace, and a wardrobe. Location The cottage is in the heart of the Bela Krajina region in south-eastern Slovenia. The area is famous for its vineyards and unspoiled countryside. The owners offer tastings of their award-winning wines in the cellar below the house. The historic town of Crnomelj is just 5 minutes away. Here you will be able to find most necessities in the local supermarket or smaller stores. For visitors who want to get out into nature, there are many hiking trails through gorgeous landscapes as well as scenic cycling routes. The nearby Kolpa River, with its pristine waters, has many bathing spots for swimming, as well as canoeing and kayaking. Ljubljana’s international airport is 1 hour 35 minutes away.
