March Cottage

Welcome to March Cottage. A cosy yet spacious property on the edge of the Peak District National Park, in the Victorian spa town of Matlock. Recently renovated you can be assured of the perfect ‘home from home’ feeling. This centrally heated cottage is arranged over 3 floors, with steps leading to the main entrance. On the ground floor, there is a well equipped kitchen /diner with an electric cooker, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. From the kitchen you have access to a private patio, with separate laundry and secure bike storage. The living room has a wood burner – ideal for those cosy winter nights and there’s also a smart Tv with freeview should you wish to enjoy a night in. The main bedroom on the first floor has a King size bed which can be made into a twin room on request. Although not provided, this room has ample space to accommodate a travel cot with ease. On the first floor you will also find a luxury family bathroom with a free standing roll top bath and a luxury walk-in shower and heated towel rail. The second floor has two bedrooms; the first is a double with ensuite, and the second bedroom has a single bed where you can enjoy views of Matlock, Matlock Bath and Riber Castle from the veluxe windows. The property has gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. The garden is equipped with garden furniture and bike storage is available on the premises. On road parking. Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. Matlock is well-served by public transport, making it easy to explore the town and the surrounding areas. Whether you’re traveling by bus, train, or even boat, there are various options to get around. Matlock is connected to the national rail network via Matlock Railway Station, which is located just a short walk from the town centre. The station is served by East Midlands Railway and provides direct services to several destinations in the region including Derby, Nottingham and Manchester. Alternatively, you can explore on one of the more scenic train journeys, including the Peak Rail heritage railway. Via steam train, the service runs between Matlock and Rowsley offering stunning views on the full journey. Matlock has a comprehensive bus network, with services connecting the town to nearby towns and attractions. Derbyshire Dales Bus Services operate many routes that link Matlock to other parts of the Peak District and surrounding areas including Bakewell, Chesterfield and Bath.
