It's a great spot for a relaxing holiday or getaway, offering a mix of tranquillity and access to a variety of outdoor activities. Pickering is a charming historic market town with a wealth of attractions, scenic beauty, and quintessential Yorkshire charm. Known as the 'Gateway to the Moors', this vibrant town offers a blend of heritage, local culture, and outdoor adventure, making it an ideal destination for holidaymakers. Pickering is rich in history with its 12th-century motte-and-bailey castle which offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church, known for its rare medieval wall paintings, adds a unique insight into the history of the area. Just a short drive from Pickering, Dalby Forest is a great centre for forest walks, cycling, mountain biking and family-friendly outdoor activities. The forest has several marked trails, including the “Owl Trail” which is perfect for families with young children. Pickering is the starting point for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR), a heritage railway that travels through the picturesque countryside of the National Park. The train stops in scenic locations like Levisham, Goathland (the famous "Hogsmeade" station in Harry Potter), and Whitby. This is a must-do for railway enthusiasts and those who enjoy classic steam trains.

Payment & Cancellation - 14 Day Policy
Grace Period:
- Guests may cancel for free provided that: (1) reservation is canceled within 48-hours of reservation confirmation, and (2) reservation was confirmed at least 11 days before scheduled arrival.
Payment Policy:
- 14 days or less prior to arrival: Guests pay 100% at time of reservation.
- More than 14 days before arrival: Guests pay 50% at time of reservation, the remaining 50% will be charged 14 days prior to arrival.
- For guests paying with Points or Cash & Points: 100% of payment of both Cash & Points will be deducted at time of reservation, once booking is verified within 48 hours.
Cancellation Policy:
- 14 days or less prior to arrival: No refund issued, unless ‘Grace Period’ applies.
- More than 14 days before arrival: 100% refund.
