This Suffolk pink cottage, built in 1830, is located in a great position at the north end of the high street within easy reach of the independent shops, eateries, and the wonderful shingle beach stretching to Thorpeness. Interiors retain all the old world charm with low ceilings and diamond lattice windows through the cosy living room, dining room and kitchen on the ground floor; two doubles and two singles on the first floor with the family bathroom, plus an outside cloakroom.
Review - "Fab cottage! Well maintained and super dog friendly. Perfect location for the town and sea front walks."
Step down off the high street into the entrance where you can hang your coats before going through to the living room, opening to the dining room, leading to the rear hall. Doors from the hall open into the courtyard and kitchen which also has a door to the outside bin store. Steep carpeted stairs rise from the hall to the first-floor landing with a handrail to steady you. Wooden flooring runs through the living and dining rooms, with tiles in the kitchen and hall.

About the area
Aldeburgh is a coastal town in the English county of Suffolk. Located on the River Alde, the town is notable for its Blue Flag shingle beach and fisherman huts where freshly caught fish are sold daily, and the Aldeburgh Yacht Club. The internationally renowned Aldeburgh Festival of arts, which takes place at nearby Snape Maltings, was created in 1948 by the late then resident and acclaimed composer Benjamin Britten.
A popular weekend destination, with second homes making up roughly a third of its residential property, particular attractions are the ancient Moot Hall (where the town council still meets and is home to the Aldeburgh Museum ), Napoleonic-era Martello tower to the south, sheltered yachting marina at Slaughden, and two family run shops serving fish and chips, one of which is often cited as among the best fish and chip shops in the UK.
