Location! Location! Location! Riding high atop a ridgeline, yet only a three minute drive to the ski area base below, this quintessential Montana cabin, completed in September 2019, has perhaps the best view in all of Big Sky, catching the sun’s first rays over the Gallatin Range and Yellowstone mountains looking down the valley off the back porch, and front and center capturing the entire panorama of Lone Peak and its magnificent sunsets from the front porch and hot tub. This secluded 5,000 square foot lodge backs up to a 380 acre nature preserve, with deer, fox, elk, moose, and bears frequenting the yard. Four master suites, a bunkroom that sleeps 6, and two single beds in the loft, all with fabulous views, allow 16 to sleep comfortably. Designed and outfitted lovingly over several years by the owners, they want to make you feel as if this is your home for your stay, be that family gatherings or adult getaways. For early risers, the sunrise off the back porch is glorious, while the sunset is not to be missed from the comfort indoors of the expansive windows or alfresco on the front porch with its grill, generous seating, outdoor fireplace, and 8 seat hot tub. Even after a day of skiing or exploring, the sunset may be the highlight.
Indoor amenities include a pool table, card table and wet bar, big screen TVs with satellite, a Sonos sound system, stainless steel appliances, walk-in showers, a cozy indoor fireplace and large gathering room, elegant western decor throughout, boot dryer, two washer/dryers, and a bunk room Xbox for the wild bunch.
Outdoors, one can snowshoe in winter on a trail directly off the back porch through the preserve, or take this gentle hike in the summer, but bear spray is essential in these summer months. Both 45 minutes from the Bozeman airport to the north, and 45 minutes from West Yellowstone, yet situated in the mountain village, this home is well suited for exploration, although you may never want to leave the cabin!
