It has 2 spacious bedrooms with beautiful tadelakt bathrooms, luxurious decor and exceptional facilities. A corner of paradise just for you, with its own swimming pool." The douiria is traditionally the home of the master of the house, designed to receive visitors from outside the family. These private flats generally have an entrance separate from the riad. The douiria communicates with the main riad only via the swimming pool. All the rest is private. The douiria is suitable for 4 people. It has 2 bedrooms, a lounge and a private terrace. Bedroom 1 has a moucharabieh alcove overlooking the living room. It is ideal for those who want to relax, dream or read on the sofa in the alcove, out of sight. Bedroom 2 features a rare piece of 19th century coffered furniture from a Koranic school. It is also decorated with souvenirs brought back from a trip to Djenné in Mali, illustrating the links between the Maghreb and the Sahel. The large lounge, with its hushed, colonial atmosphere, is open to the sky in summer via a douaya. In winter, it becomes a very intimate place thanks to its open fire. The private terrace offers a superb view of the Koutoubia and the Atlas mountains. A Berber tent and a ’menzeh’ make for pleasant moments of rest and dinner by candlelight. 2 rooms - 4 people - 2 large double beds or 4 single beds according to your needs Breakfast is included. With us, you don’t have to cook, we take care of everything for 15Eur per adult for lunches and 25Eur per adult for dinners. The terraces are a mythical place for relaxation. The lounges, under the pergola or near the bougainvilleas, allow you to forget everything while listening to the muffled sounds of the medina and the call of the muezzin at prayer time. You can choose to enjoy an aperitif under the stars or a candlelit dinner with friends or just the two of you. Unique to the medina is the superb swimming pool on the terrace. Bathed in sunlight, the pool allows you to swim in complete privacy away from prying eyes. The pool is heated from spring to autumn and misted in summer. Equipped with counter-current swimming, the pool is ideal for long-distance swimming. You share it with the 4-bedroom riad. Everything else is private. The staff are attentive to your comfort throughout your stay. They will welcome you in French, English, Spanish or Arabic. Our housekeeper or butlers will tell you all about the places and sites to discover in Marrakech and the best places to go shopping in the souks or in Gueliz, the modern city. On request, our cook will prepare a variety of Moroccan tajines and pastries, coloured by local vegetables and Moroccan spices. Moroccan, French, vegetarian... the choice is yours. Market purchases are made daily and we offer cookery lessons if you wish. Local guests forbidden No parking. Our driver and staff will take care of your lugagges.
