Anthracite Cottage, newly and imaginatively converted from what was the original power house is one of two charming cottages attached to the recently opened Britannia Spa and Power House Gym at Bonville’s Court Country Park in Saundersfoot.Set at the back of the park, it beautifully and sensitively mixes modern accommodation with the industrial features of the building, wonderfully furnished with a more traditional look, it reflects the colours of the rolling green countryside. With two bedrooms on the ground floor, the twin opens to a paved terrace to the front, while the master has an ensuite whb/wc. There is a paved patio with steps up to an enclosed lawned area, giving space for children to play. Stairs lead up to the well-appointed, open-plan living space on the first floor. This has a light and airy feel with its vaulted ceiling and A-frame beams, both gable ends are glazed. The modern, fitted kitchen and dining area is perfect for preparing family meals, while the comfortable seating area with leather sofas has a Juliette balcony to make the most of the lovely rural views over the fields beyond. You are welcome to make use of the excellent facilities in the spa for a small fee including a sauna, steam room, pool spa, experience shower and fully equipped gym.If you can bear to tear yourself away, a 10 minute walk will take you into bustling seaside village of Saundersfoot with its beautiful sandy beaches, pubs, shops and restaurants to try. Join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path here to explore on foot, pass through the tunnels, another relic of this villages important industrial past, heading east to the waterside villages of Wiseman’s Bridge and Amroth, all have super sandy beaches and beachside pubs overlooking Carmarthen Bay where you can refresh before the journey home. Enjoy a meal in the award winning restaurant, Coast, set on Coppet Hall beach for a real treat. While to the west explore the quaint cobbled streets of the walled medieval town of Tenby with its range of shops, pubs and restaurants, stunning sandy beaches and picturesque harbour. A fishing trip or boat trip to the island of Caldey, home of the Cistercian monks is sure to be the highlight of any holiday. There are a host of family attractions all within easy reach including Folly Farm, Heatherton World of Activities and Manor House Wildlife Park.A foot path that recently opened leads from the train station and runs past the entrance to the park and down into Saundersfoot and the golden beaches.Anthracite Cottage is an ideal holiday home for a family or couple and is sure to become a firm favourite whatever the season.Shares the same location as 43100 Courtlands, 43474 Sovereign Suite and 43527 Tower Cottage and can be booked together.Onsite spa facilities including a steam room and sauna, pool spa, experience shower and gym included - No under 10 year olds.
