Welcome to The Cabin! The Cabin is a charming log home on a wooded lot, conveniently between Boone and Blowing Roc and central to your favorite High Country attractions. The Blue Ridge Parkway is five miles away and offers several overlooks, breathtaking views, and hiking trails for all skill levels. Take a walk around Bass Lake or explore the historic Cone Manor. Boone is about twenty minutes away and features local shopping, dining, and breweries. Spend a sunny afternoon at one of Boone’s public parks with the kids in your group. Downtown Blowing Rock, fifteen minutes down the road, is the perfect mountain town for an evening stroll. Enjoy a meal at a local restaurant or walk around one of the many shops downtown. Escape to the mountains and settle in at The Cabin, a two-level classic log home. Guests will find a cozy main level with exposed log walls, vaulted tongue and groove ceilings, and an open floor plan. Relax in the living room on the comfortable reclining sofa after a day of exploring the High Country. The stone gas-log fireplace is ready to warm you up after a day on the slopes. The kitchen is stocked and ready for a home-cooked meal. The covered porch, outfitted with rocking chairs, is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee while enjoying the cool mountain air. Build a fire in the wood-burning fire pit and gather around to enjoy s’mores. The Cabin comfortably accommodates up to four guests. The first-floor bedroom features a king bed and a TV for your entertainment. The loft area serves as a second sleeping space, offering two twin beds and another TV. The main level is equipped with a full bathroom, ensuring convenience for all guests. Additional amenities include WiFi, central heating and air conditioning, and a washer and dryer. One dog, up to 50 pounds, is permitted for an additional pet fee. The level gravel parking area has space for two vehicles. * The cabin is accessed via a 1.5-mile, state-maintained gravel road. We recommend vehicles with higher clearance, 4-wheel drive, or all-wheel drive. During winter weather, snow plowing is as best as can be expected on gravel roads with ruts. AWD or 4WD is required.
