Deerwood Retreat is a peaceful getaway with long-range, layered, and expansive mountain views, including a view of iconic Grandfather Mountain. This home’s magnificent views can be enjoyed from almost anywhere inside and out. Choose your view from multiple decks where you feel like you are standing on the edge of the mountaintop or inside right from the comfort of the living room couch. The house is situated at 4,700 feet above sea level and offers the coolest summertime temperatures in the area, which can be experienced from the choice of three different decks. In the wintertime, you have the choice to snuggle up to either the indoor or the outdoor wood-burning fireplaces.
This house is perfect for a romantic getaway or the entire family. It includes a bunk bedroom with a door that leads to the secret stairwell accessing the upper beds! The property boasts a miniature cabin/treehouse built on the deck for children. The backyard will transport your children into a life-size, magical fairy garden with wood bridges, pathways, toadstools, wildflowers, and more for hours of exploration right on the property.
Deerwood Retreat is centrally located as it is a short drive to Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, Banner Elk, Boone, and Blowing Rock. Guests have access to the Seven Devils tennis courts, Otter Falls Trail, and miles of hiking trails at Grandfather Mountain Park and Linville Falls. The home is just up the road from Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zip Lines, and fishing enthusiasts will find some of the best trout fishing available at the nearby Watauga River. Go gem mining and fishing at Grandfather Trout Farm or plan a river trip with Foscoe Fishing Company.

* This pet-friendly home is equipped with an extra large dog crate and a heavy-duty dog ramp. Allows pets with an additional fee paid after booking. The fee is $35 per pet per day.
