License to Chill is a charming townhome between Boone and Banner Elk with direct access to the Grandfather Mountain Profile hiking trail. Guests looking for quick access to all the High Country offers will enjoy this convenient location just a short distance from the main highway. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort is just 3 miles away and offers winter favorites such as skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, and snow tubing. The resort transitions to mountain bike trails, chair lift rides, festivals, concerts, and more in the summer. Other favorite attractions within 15 minutes include Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, Sugar Creek Gem Mining, Banner Elk Winery, and Sugar Mountain Public Golf Course. The town of Banner Elk is 10 minutes away, with shopping and favorite local restaurants. Downtown Boone is just 20 minutes away. Guests will enjoy being only a few minutes away from conveniences such as restaurants and grocery stores. This unique location is less than 15 minutes from Grandfather Mountain State Park and is an excellent location for guests looking to enjoy the famous Highland Games.

An enclosed sunroom with a shuffleboard game table and plenty of board games provides endless fun for all ages.
Three king bedrooms are on the upper level, including adjustable beds, workspace desks, and large Smart TVs. Guests will have plenty of comfort and space with ample storage and large closets, fans in each room, and bedside outlets with USB charging ports. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a freestanding soaking tub and a separate tiled shower. The other two king bedrooms share a luxurious hallway bathroom with a tankless water heater supplying unlimited hot water.
Additional amenities at License to Chill include reliable high-speed wifi, central heating/air conditioning, a propane gas fire table, and a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer. Two pets are welcome with your reservation, and additional pet fees will apply. The level gravel driveway has spacious parking for up to 3 cars. AWD or 4WD vehicles and snow chains are recommended for winter travelers.
