Find yourself relaxing in this peaceful cabin on a wooded property, surrounded by picturesque mountain views in the quaint community of Todd. Green Valley Community Park is minutes away, providing access to the South Fork of the New River and canoeing, tubing, and fishing. River Girl Fishing Company is just 1.7 miles away, offering guided fishing trips and water equipment rentals, including tubs and kayaks for a lovely day on the water. A public playground, picnic shelter, and hiking trails are also nearby. The town of Boone is 20 minutes away, with local attractions such as Rocky Knob Mountain Bike Park (20-minute drive), Tweetsie Railroad Amusement Park (30-minute drive), High Gravity Adventures Zip Line and Aerial Park (30-minute drive), and Appalachian Ski Mountain (35-minute drive) to name a few.
This two-level cabin is perfect for up to 11 guests, with a spacious backyard equipped with a hot tub, gas grill, outdoor dining, and a cornhole game for all to enjoy. The field next to the property, open for guests to explore, also includes a wood-burning fire pit for roasting marshmallows under the stars.
Inside, the main level living room opens to the dining area and kitchen, with high vaulted ceilings and large windows allowing plenty of natural light. Enjoy your mornings in the sunroom, fully enclosed with windows, where you can enjoy the peaceful setting year-round. The master bedroom on this level features a king bed, TV, and ensuite bathroom with a huge tiled walk-in shower. Upstairs is a queen bedroom, a full bathroom, and a loft with a twin bed. A work desk equipped with computer monitors will allow you to quickly tackle a job so you can get back to relaxing. The third bedroom on the lower level has a full bed and a twin-over-twin bunk bed. The lower-level family room also has a pull-out sofa for additional sleeping space. The cozy room has games, foosball, and a TV and opens to the patio and backyard.
Feel comfortable year-round with central heating and air conditioning at Oakey Dokey. Additional amenities include wifi, cable, streaming on the TVs, and a laundry area with a washer and dryer. Pets are not allowed. The level gravel driveway and parking area have plenty of room for 3 or more cars with one-step entry to the covered front entrance. Winter travelers should prepare for inclement weather with AWD or 4WD vehicles and snow chains.
