Located between Boone and Blowing Rock, Fox Hill Retreat is central to much of what the High Country has to offer. In Boone, about 5 miles away, guests can find local shopping, dining, breweries, parks, the recreation center, and Appalachian State University. Book a tee time at Boone Golf Club, 2 miles down the road, or hop on the Blue Ridge Parkway, six miles away, to marvel at the layered mountain views at one of the overlooks, or take a hike on one of many hiking trails. Blowing Rock is only a few miles away and offers outdoor adventures at Tweetsie Railroad, High Gravity Adventures Zip, Mystery Hill, and Appalachian Ski Mountain. Guests of all ages are sure to find their favorite activity any time of the year.
Fox Hill Retreat allows guests to spread out between two living areas and two spacious decks. The house has an open floor plan, hardwood floors, and vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings that add warmth to the great room. The comfortable living room features a stacked stone gas fireplace and a large Smart TV where guests can relax after a day on the slopes. Take a hike on the Blue Ridge Parkway and return to grill out on the covered back deck, where guests will find a serene sitting area and large outdoor dining table. Downstairs, the den has an electric wall fireplace and a Smart TV, making it a perfect place for the kids to hang out. The lower deck offers an additional dining place with a picnic table and a fire table where you can warm your hands.
Fox Hill Retreat is a thoughtfully designed four-bedroom home that comfortably accommodates up to nine guests. The expansive master bedroom on the main level features a king bed, electric wall fireplace, Smart TV, and an ensuite. The ensuite has double vanities and a step-in shower. Guests can access the covered back deck from the master bedroom. The lower level has three additional bedrooms. The king bedroom has a Smart TV and an ensuite. There is a bedroom with a queen bed and a bunk room that accommodates three in the twin-over-full bunk bed. There is a full bathroom in the hallway on this level.
Additional amenities include central heating and air conditioning, WiFi, and Smart TVs, which guests can use to log in to their own streaming accounts. Up to 2 dogs are welcome to join you for an additional pet fee. The house is accessed via a paved road and parking area, with room for 2 vehicles. Please note that there is a Ring doorbell camera at the home. Three steps lead to the walkway to the home. AWD or 4WD is recommended for winter travelers.
