Simpler Times Cabin

Welcome to Simpler Times Cabin! Nestled in the heart of Beech Mountain, Simpler Times Cabin is the perfect destination for a mountain getaway. Beech Mountain Ski Resort is less than one mile away, and offers year-round attractions. The ski resort features skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating during the winter months. In the summer, the mountain transforms into trails for mountain biking, hiking, and disc golf. Within a few miles from the home there are several trails and Emerald Outback Trail Park, with trails for mountain bikers, hikers, and trail runners. Buckeye Recreation Center is less than five miles away, with fishing, basketball and tennis courts, a playground, and a hiking trail to a beautiful waterfall. Twenty minutes down the mountain, the town of Banner Elk gives guests access to local shopping and dining, Banner Elk Winery and Vineyard, the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, Sugar Creek Gem Mining, and Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. Simpler Times Cabin is a beautiful cabin with cozy touches throughout. The main level features vaulted tongue and groove ceilings with exposed beams and wooden walls that add warmth to the space. The living room has reclining sofas creating a perfect place for relaxing after a day of hiking or skiing. The living room is open to the kitchen, with stainless steel appliances and bar seating at the granite peninsula. The formal dining area has seating for four. Step outside to the deck where you will find a large outdoor dining table, gas grill, and mountain views. Downstairs, the whole family can enjoy the foosball table, arcade machine, and large connect four game. The lower deck is home to additional outdoor seating and a hot tub to unwind in while enjoying the cool mountain air. The fenced-in backyard offers room for kids to play, in addition to a wood-burning fire pit perfect for s’mores. Simpler Times Cabin is a three bedroom, three bathroom home that can comfortably accommodate up to seven guests. The master suite is located downstairs and has a queen bed, TV sitting area, and an ensuite bathroom with step-in shower. The top floor bedroom has a queen bed, TV, and private bathroom with tub/shower combo. Please note- this bedroom is accessed via stairs from the living room, and does not have a door at the top of the stairs. The third bedroom is located on the main floor, and can sleep three guests in the twin-over-queen bunkbed. An additional full bathroom is located on the main level. There are two fireplaces that are not operational. Additional amenities include WiFi, Direct TV, mini-splits on the main level and the lower level for added comfort, and a washer and dryer. Pets are not permitted at Simpler Times Cabin. There is a ring doorbell camera at the front door. There is a level gravel parking area with room for three vehicles. A wooded walkway leads to the front door. AWD or 4WD is recommended for winter travelers. Firewood available for purchase after booking.
