Nearby Buckeye recreation center has tennis, basketball, a gym and a lake with fishing and canoe and kayak rentals. Homeowner note: "We just stayed there for the first time in the summer and we saw about 25 deer each day on the slopes. And while hiking to the top of the mountain to see the beautiful views, we were relaxing on the outdoor view decks up there and saw a bear go by." So, there is lots to see and do year-round at Rivendell.
Regardless of the season, this home offers a gateway to many mountain activities. The seven-bedroom home provides easy access to skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, and snow tubing. The summer season brings the thrill of National Championship mountain bike trails, catering to every skill level. Just a fifteen (15) minute drive away, the Buckeye Recreation Center offers fantastic hiking, a large playground, fishing, canoeing, and paddle boating. The dining options on Beech Mountain, including local favorites like the Mile High Tavern, Brick Oven Pizzeria, and Alpen Restaurant, add a delicious touch to your adventure. Banner Elk, with its local restaurants, shopping, groceries, and gas stations, is just a few miles down the mountain.
