The house sits toward the back of a quiet, upscale residential area, where the homes are on large properties with mature hardwood trees. Sunset Lodge now features Hammock Hill, your private, one-acre scenic overlook. This terraced side yard has a fire pit, Adirondack chairs, and a large hammock for relaxing. Hammock Hill is the perfect place to enjoy peaceful sunsets, afternoon naps, or S’mores under the stars.
Every square foot of this house is furnished and decorated to make it a luxurious yet comfortable, family-friendly mountain escape. The upper level boasts a great room with vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, designer furniture, a fireplace, and a large HD Smart TV. A bar with a wine fridge, a half bath/powder room, and a laundry room with a washer and dryer are also accessible from the great room. The adjacent kitchen has stainless appliances and granite counters. The dining table seats up to eight (8) guests, and two more can sit at the counter-height bar between the kitchen and the great room. The master suite, also on this level, features vaulted ceilings, an HD smart TV, a king bed, and a large ensuite full bathroom with jetted tub and separate shower. Sliding glass doors lead to the deck from the master bedroom, opening up amazing long-range views.
The lower level has a second living area with an HD Smart TV, a queen sleeper sofa, a small fridge, a foosball table, and a game console. Glass doors lead to the lower deck and the hot tub. Two bedrooms on one wing offer a king bed and two twin beds, sharing a Jack-&-Jill bathroom with a tub and shower. On the other wing is a king suite with a full bathroom, long-range views, and an HD Smart TV. The two-car garage is accessible from the lower level and has a ping-pong table for family fun.
The paved driveway is uphill and steep, so come prepared with 4WD and tire chains during winter weather.
Tweetsie Railroad and Appalachian Ski Mountain are only six (6) miles away. Valle Crucis is about fifteen (15) miles. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Snowtubing and ZipLines at Hawksnest, and Grandfather Mountain are about twenty (20) miles.
