**On Golden Ridge** is located on Appalachian Ski Mountain and offers year-round activities in the High Country. In the winter, adventure awaits just five minutes away at Appalachian Ski Mountain, which features a family-friendly ski lodge with ski slopes and an ice skating rink. The Blue Ridge Parkway is only two miles from the cabin, making it an ideal spot for a scenic drive, a picnic at an overlook, or hiking on various trails. Downtown Blowing Rock is less than ten minutes away and offers local shopping, dining, and a large park with public tennis and basketball courts. For family fun, Tweetsie Railroad and Mystery Hill are both within ten minutes of the cabin. Boone, just 20 minutes away, offers numerous restaurants, shops, and outdoor activities, including parks, the Watauga County Farmers’ Market, and Boone Golf Course.
Inside the cabin, guests are greeted by hardwood floors and tongue-and-groove vaulted ceilings in the main living area. The living room features leather furniture arranged around a stacked-stone gas fireplace and an HDTV. A wall of windows fills the room with warm natural light. The open kitchen features stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and a large island with bar seating for three. The adjacent dining area comfortably seats eight guests. Guests can relax with dinner or coffee on the partly covered deck that spans the length of the home. This deck also includes a hot tub and a gas grill off the kitchen.
Downstairs, a spacious game room features a pool table and a large sectional sofa, where guests can lounge and catch a football game on the TV. The lower deck has two patio tables for relaxation and enjoyment.
**On Golden Ridge** is a two-level cabin that accommodates six guests across three suites. The master bedroom on the main level includes a king bed, access to the deck, and an ensuite bathroom with double vanities, a step-in shower, and a jetted jacuzzi tub. There are two additional suites downstairs, located near the game room. The first suite has a queen bed, access to the lower deck, and an ensuite bathroom with double vanities and a step-in shower. The second suite features a queen bed and an ensuite bathroom with a combination tub and shower.
Amenities include Wi-Fi, central heating and cooling, a main-floor powder room, a workspace off the living room, and cable television through Dish Network. Access to the cabin is via a gravel driveway, with parking available for up to three vehicles. During the winter months (October to March), four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is strongly recommended, and chains may be necessary in snowy or icy conditions.
