Welcome to On Golden Ridge!
On Golden Ridge is centrally located on Appalachian Ski Mountain, providing access to year-round activities in the High Country. Winter adventure is five minutes away at Appalachian Ski Mountain where guests are treated with a family-friendly ski lodge, ski slopes, and an ice skating rink. Hop on the Blue Ridge Parkway, only two miles away, for a scenic drive, picnic at an overlook, or enjoy a hike on one of the hiking trails. Downtown Blowing Rock is less than ten minutes from the cabin and offers local shopping and dining, as well as a large park with public tennis and basketball courts. Family fun can be found at Tweetsie Railroad or Mystery Hill, about ten minutes away. Boone is about a twenty minute drive, and features restaurants, shopping, and outdoor activities including parks and the Boone Golf Course.
Upon entering the cabin, guests are greeted with hardwood floors and tongue and groove vaulted ceilings throughout the main living area. The living room features leather furniture situated around the stacked rock gas fireplace and HDTV. The wall of windows offer warmth and light into the great room. The open kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and a large island with bar seating for three. The dining area, adjacent to the kitchen, can comfortably seat eight guests. Step outside on the partially covered deck that spans the length of the home. Enjoy your dinner while taking in the mountain views, or enjoy your coffee with the sunrise. The back deck, off the kitchen, houses the hot tub and gas grill. Downstairs, the spacious game room houses a pool table and large sectional where guests can lounge and enjoy a football game on the TV. The lower deck has two patio tables for relaxation and enjoyment.
On Golden Ridge is a two-level cabin with three suites that can house up to six guests. The main level master bedroom features a king bed, access to the deck, and a private ensuite. The ensuite has double vanities, step-in shower, and jetted jacuzzi tub. Downstairs, two additional suites are located off the game room. The first suite has a queen bed, access to the lower deck, and a private ensuite with double vanities and step-in shower. The second lower level suite has a queen bed and a combo tub/shower in the attached bathroom.
Guests are treated with WiFI, central heating and cooling, a main floor powder room, work space off the living room, and cable via Dish Network. Pets are not welcome at On Golden Ridge. The home is accessed via a gravel driveway with parking for up to three vehicles. AWD or 4WD is recommended for winter travelers.
