Welcome to Serenity Summit! A charming mountain home with four sleeping areas on a large property with seasonal views, located just outside of downtown Banner Elk at the base of Beech Mountain. Ideal for all seasons, you are less than ten miles from the slopes of Beech Mountain Ski Resort and less than ten miles from the slopes of Sugar Mountain Ski Resort for snow skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, snow tubing, and sledding. Once the slopes close in the late spring, the High Country is a beautiful place to visit as nature awakens with warm, sunny days and cool, crisp nights. The summer speaks for itself, and the High Country sees an incredible demand for summer vacation destinations. Both Beech Mountain and Sugar Mountain transition to summer activities, including mountain biking, disc golf, concerts, and more. After the summer ends and we roll into the fall, the weather is a big draw, again with pleasant days and chilly nights, and the color palette comes to life as the leaves change to fiery oranges, reds, golds, and browns. The rolling hills surrounding Serenity Summit begin to open up during the fall leaf season, making this a special place to stay.

The cabin’s eye-catching décor, paired with custom raw-edge wood accents throughout, creates a simple yet delightful atmosphere, blending natural elegance with cozy charm. The main level living area features beautiful wood floors and floor-to-ceiling tongue-and-groove paneling, enveloping the space in a warm cabin ambiance. Comfortable furniture is arranged around a large screen TV, with a traditional wood-burning stove adding to the warmth. The kitchen is fully equipped with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and all the essentials for cooking. The wooden dining table seats six, while the adjacent kitchen bar provides seating for four more, offering ample space for the whole group to dine together. Enjoy dining al fresco or relaxing in the wooden rocking chairs on the covered porch, which overlooks a spacious yard complete with a fire pit and a picnic table nestled beneath a large, sweeping tree. The lower-level covered patio features a relaxing hot tub and a convenient gas grill, perfect for unwinding or outdoor grilling.
The cabin offers four distinct sleeping areas, including a queen bedroom and a bunk room with two twin-over-twin bunk beds on the main level. The upper-level open loft features a king bed and an attached bathroom. The charm extends to the lower level, which functions as a separate living space with a full living room, kitchen, bathroom, and an additional queen bedroom. Each bedroom is equipped with a TV, ensuring comfort and entertainment for all.
Each TV is set up with YouTube TV and Netflix, offering both live and streaming viewing options. For added convenience there are stacked washer and dryer units on both the main and lower levels. Serenity Summit offers high-speed Wi-Fi, and up to two dogs are welcome with an additional pet fee. A charming wooden sign marks the entrance to the spacious, level gravel driveway, which provides ample parking on both the upper and lower levels. 4WD/AWD and/or chains are recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months, where inclement weather may be possible, should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement. There is one floodlight camera overlooking the parking area and porch.
