Located in Todd, Poplar Ridge Escape, is conveniently located to both Boone and West Jefferson. Green Valley Community Park is ten minutes away and provides access to the South Fork of the New River for canoeing, tubing, and fishing. There is also a public playground, a picnic shelter, and hiking trails. The town of Boone is twenty minutes away and provides access to local shopping, dining, parks, and area attractions. Rocky Knob Mountain Bike Park is about twenty minutes away, Tweetsie Railroad Amusement Park and High Gravity Adventures Zip Line and Aerial Park are a thirty minute drive, and Appalachian Ski Mountain is about thirty five minutes. Historic downtown West Jefferson is about twenty five minutes away, and features local dinning, shopping, the farmers market, the famous Ashe County Cheese, and the community park. The park offers public tennis and basketball courts and a large playground. Enjoy a glass of wine and live music at Old Barn Winery or play a round of golf at Mountain Air Golf Course, both about twenty minutes from the home.
Poplar Ridge Escape is a newly built single level home, located on a lovely wooded lot. The covered entry leads to an open main floor with walls of windows filling the room with natural light and warmth. Hardwood floors and tongue and groove ceilings are carried throughout the home, creating a seamless flow from the living areas to the bedrooms. The living room furniture is situated around a smart TV and electric fireplace. The inviting space is perfect for relaxing after a hike on The Blue Ridge Parkway. The dining table, adjacent to the living room, has seating for six, with additional bar seating at the granite kitchen island. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and all your basic cooking needs to prepare a meal for the whole family. Step outside to the deck, accessed from the living room, and enjoy your morning coffee with the fresh mountain air. The deck spans the length of the home and has a comfortable sitting area, outdoor dining table, and a gas grill. The side patio provides an additional area for guests to enjoy the mountains. Relax in the hot tub after a day on the slopes, or share stories around the fire pit.
Poplar Ridge Escape has three bedrooms and three bathrooms to comfortably accommodate up to six guests. The master bedroom has a king bed, TV, and private ensuite bathroom with double vanities and a step-in shower. The master bedroom also has deck access. An additional suite has a queen bed, ensuite bathroom with tub/shower combo, and access to the deck. The third bedroom has a queen bed and access to the hallway bathroom.
Please note: this home does not have live cable. The TVs are set up for guests to use their own streaming accounts.

Additional amenities include WiFi, central heating and air conditioning, and a washer and dryer. One dog, up to 40 pounds, is welcome with an additional pet fee. The house is accessed via a gravel road and driveway. AWD or 4WD is recommended for winter travelers.
