La Porcilaia at Pretaccione

Pretaccione is a small and atmospheric hamlet set in the heart of the Chianti Classico. Its name recalls the rural priests who lived here in the Middle Ages. San Sano is just five minutes away by car with a traditional restaurant and small grocery shop, while Lecchi can be reached in around ten minutes and Gaiole in about fifteen, offering restaurants, shops and a supermarket. Radda is also close by. Walking enthusiasts will appreciate the Dievole Natural Path, which starts right on the doorstep and offers kilometres of marked woodland trails. Siena is only 20 minutes away, and Arezzo, San Gimignano and Florence are all easily reached for day trips.
