A Note About Our Elusive Roommate 🦎 You may occasionally hear a little rustling in the ceiling—that’s just our friendly, harmless house guest: a local lizard who’s made himself at home. He’s part of the protected wildlife here in Margaret River and, while he’s proven quite the hide-and-seek champion, rest assured he keeps to himself and won’t bother you. It’s not uncommon for rural properties to have a little native company, and we like to think of him as a reminder that you’re truly staying in nature. You can access the SW1 bus, which services a long route along the Bussell Highway, at the Charles River West Ave Transwa Margaret River Stop 1.4km away. Otherwise, guests will find driving the most convenient way to explore Margaret River and its surroundings. Find popular spots in town located near the bus stop. Or, head out to popular beach towns like Prevelly or Gnarabup located about 10km away. We provide a convenient starter pack of essentials — including toilet paper, shampoo, soap, and other basics — to help you settle in for the first day or two. These items aren’t restocked during your stay, so feel free to bring along or pick up anything extra you might need. For reservations on booking platforms outside of OTA, we require either a $500 AUD authorisation hold or a fixed damage waiver per guest with every reservation prior to check-in. Please note, that the pre-auth hold is not a charge; it simply ensures funds are available if needed. A small bank processing fee (typically around AUD 2) may apply, but will also be returned after check-out permitting no breaches in policy occur. Banks require us to renew the authorisation hold weekly. A damage waiver will not be refunded.
