Welcome to the Whitefish Mountain Chalet, a cozy condo nestled in the private alpine community of Ptarmigan Village. This charming retreat is minutes away from Whitefish Mountain Resort and a short drive to the pristine Whitefish Lake. Close in proximity are Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake, and golf courses. With unlimited recreational opportunities like skiing, cross-country skiing, biking, hiking, water skiing, and more- making it a perfect place for any time of year! This condo features 678 square feet with one bedroom, a queen sleeper sofa, and one bathroom. The condo comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests. Upon entering the property, guests will be greeted by a hallway leading them to the spacious living areas. The living room features high wooden beam ceilings and comfortable furnishings, including a queen sleeper sofa. Guests can unwind in front of the Smart TV or step out onto the back patio to soak in the tranquil surroundings. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances, equipment, and utensils you’ll need to whip up delicious snacks and meals. The high-top table has seating for two. Additional seating is available at the high-top bar allowing seating for two located in the living room.
The bedroom features a king-size bed and, a desk area with a Smart TV (Note: there is no door in this bedroom.) There is a full shared bathroom with a tub/shower combo.
Ptarmigan Community Amenities:
Enjoy community amenities such as an indoor saltwater pool, dry sauna, outdoor hot tub, outdoor pool (seasonal), tennis courts, a playground, fish pond and short drive to private beach on Whitefish Lake. The community also provides firewood (upon request) during the fall, winter and spring.
In the winter, downhill skiing at Whitefish Mountain Resort provides 3,000+ skiable acres, 14 lifts with terrain for all skill levels and stunning views. The resort was recently ranked #3 in the West by Ski Magazine readers! There are plenty of other winter activities from snowmobiling, cross country skiing, ice fishing, hiking, snowshoeing and more. Of course, you’ll also want to explore downtown Whitefish eateries and galleries and don’t miss Winter Carnival with a parade and skijoring!
In the summer, enjoy all the watersports imaginable at Whitefish Lake, or any of the 100+ lakes & rivers within 100 miles, including Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi in the lower 48! Whitefish Mountain Resort also provides endless activities such as mountain biking, hiking, zip-lining, ropes courses, alpine slides, and scenic chair or gondola rides (with Glacier National Park views). Speaking of Glacier National Park, it’s only 45 minutes away from Whitefish! Don’t miss the breathtaking Going-To-The-Sun road, Lake McDonald, and 70+day hikes! You’ll also want to take advantage of the Whitefish Trail system with 43 miles of hiking & biking trails, as well as great restaurants, art galleries, breweries, distilleries, a train museum, golf courses and local events such as Huckleberry Days, farmer’s markets, rodeos and Under the Big Sky music festival!
Getting around Whitefish and to Whitefish Mountain Resort is a breeze with the FREE snow bus! The snow bus is a free shuttle service during peak winter and summer seasons. There are stops all around town and on the mountain. Whitefish also has Uber, Lyft, and Taxis.
