Key Largo feels tropical and suburban, an island community that’s traded in white picket fences for white sand beaches. A mainland-adjacent location, connected via U.S. Highway 1 and Card Sound Road, keeps cities like Miami convenient for shopping, air travel, cultural events, or simply a quick escape from “island fever.” On either side of Key Largo sit Everglades National Park and John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park.
