When a home has this many outstanding features, you know you’ve wandered into a true treasure. From the iron spiral staircase set in the middle of the apartment to the plethora of rustic bookshelves dotted all over; the vibrant red kitchen or the cosy living area illuminated by dormer windows – this three-bedroom is a hidden gem in the 11th arrondissement.
LIVING ROOM
Begin your experience of this eclectic home in the living room set on the top floor of both the home and the building – which you can distinguish immediately as Haussmannian from the 45-degree angle of its sloped walls and its dormer windows. Bright and spacious, there’s no shortage of comfort in here: two sofas and an array of armchairs surround a centred red coffee table, as well as a large TV in front of a bookshelf.
KITCHEN & DINING AREA
The most vibrant room in the home, this space is replete in multiple shades of red, whether it’s in the kitchen cabinetry or the two large art pieces flanking the expansive dining table. Along with its aesthetic boldness comes functional practicality: boasting expansive countertops and plenty of room to entertain on the dining table, there’s no risk of running out of space here.
BEDROOMS
On the same floor, pass through the door off the living room and enter the principal bedroom. Long and spacious, it’s defined by its slanting walls and dormer windows, giving the room its bold character and its bright atmosphere. A plush queen-sized bed reposes at the end of the room, and you’ll also find a brace of armchairs and a shower and wash basin in here. Venture down the show-stopping iron spiral staircase and find the study, a room featuring a wall covered in books, a desk and a sofa. The door to the second bedroom is in here, where you’ll find a double bed and more shelves stacked with books. The final bedroom is bright and charming, and features a single bed.
BATHROOMS
On the lower floor, the primary bathroom stuns immediately with its bold provincial tiling in red and white. Spacious and airy, it features a bath with overhead shower and a wash basin. There is also a separated WC.
WE LOVE
The numerous bold touches that add up to make this apartment outstanding: the spiral staircase at its centre, the array of stacked bookcases, and the slanting walls upstairs.
