Chalet Green Forest is located in Lavancher, a mountain hamlet just a few minutes’ drive from Chamonix. Combining the feel of a traditional chalet with contemporary design and impressive features, this chalet is both modern and cosy. The elevated position and huge windows of the open-plan living space offer magnificent views over the Chamonix valley up to the lifts of Le Tour.
The luxury amenities of this chalet allow you to enjoy leisure options without leaving the property. The indoor pool (28°C) has a resistance system for those who want to swim, and those who want to relax can choose between the sauna or the outdoor hot tub. After a day on the slopes or trails, you can unwind in front of the wood-burning stove and admire the panoramic views or escape with a movie in the cinema room.
Green Forest offers a different experience from a stay in Chamonix - more ’montagnard’. You can enjoy the feeling of being away from it all while being a short drive from Chamonix and the surrounding ski areas. There is a neighbouring hotel for drinks or a meal and for something special, visit the "hamlet" 50 metres away for a gourmet dinner. In our opinion, Green Forest is the ideal mountain retreat!

About the area
Chamonix, France, is a picturesque destination nestled in the French Alps, offering a unique blend of natural beauty, adventure, and European charm. It's often referred to as the "Gateway to the European Cascades," making it an ideal spot for outdoor enthusiasts. The region is home to towering peaks such as Mont Blanc - Western Europe's highest mountain - which serves as a stunning backdrop for various activities like hiking, climbing, paragliding and mountain biking in summer and skiing or snowboarding in winter.
The town itself is charming with its traditional Savoyard architecture. Its lively streets are filled with quaint cafes and restaurants that serve delectable French cuisine and local delicacies like raclette and fondue. Numerous boutiques can be found here too, selling everything from high-end fashion to artisanal crafts.
For those interested in history and culture, Chamonix has plenty to offer. The Alpine Museum provides intriguing insights into the region's mountaineering history while the Priory showcases artifacts from Chamonix's past. There are also several historic sites worth exploring such as the Baroque-style Church of St Michel.
Chamonix is also known for its wellness facilities. After a day of outdoor activities, visitors can relax at one of many spas or wellness centers that offer massages and treatments using mountain minerals.
No trip to Chamonix would be complete without experiencing its cable cars. The Aiguille du Midi cable car ascends over 3,800 meters providing breathtaking views of Mont Blanc and surrounding peaks. Similarly, the Montenvers railway takes visitors up to see the Mer de Glace glacier.
In summary, Chamonix offers an enchanting mix of adventure, relaxation and cultural experiences against a backdrop of spectacular alpine scenery making it a worthwhile destination for all types of travelers.
