There are many options for hiking in the area, including Molly Stark state park, the Valley Trail (which runs through Wilmington and up to Mt. Snow), and the Haystack Mountain Trail in Chimney Hill.  There are quite a few restaurants in both Dover and Wilmington.  Some recommendations are Dots, a kid-friendly diner, with great breakfasts in Wilmington center.  Snow Republic, a brewpub located on Route 100. North Star Pizza, a pizza place and bowling alley located on Route 100.
