The Home
Myrtle Cottage, in Chapel Stile, is one of a row of traditional Lakeland stone houses dating from around 1870, built for a local family of shoemakers and cobblers. Myrtle Cottage is laid out on three floors and provides accommodation for five people. Downstairs is the lounge and kitchen / dining area. On the first floor are a double and single bedroom and bathroom, and on the top floor a double room. There is a large basement running the length of the house accessed from the garden and the kitchen, which is useful for storing bikes and drying wet clothing and boots. From the cellar, there is access to the rear of the house to the small garden, with a grassed area, flowerbeds and a small paved area with seating which has views up the valley and of the surrounding hills.
There is on-street parking to the front of the property, and further parking available locally.

Payment and Cancellation - 30 Day Policy
Grace Period:
- Guests may cancel for free provided that: (1) reservation is canceled within 48-hours of reservation confirmation, and (2) reservation was confirmed at least 11 days before scheduled arrival.
Payment Policy:
- 30 days or less prior to arrival: Guests pay 100% at time of reservation.
- More than 30 days before arrival: Guests pay 50% at time of reservation, the remaining 50% will be charged 30 days prior to arrival.
- For guests paying with Points or Cash & Points: 100% of payment of both Cash & Points will be deducted at time of reservation, once booking is verified within 48 hours.
Cancellation Policy:
- 30 days or less prior to arrival: No refund issued, unless ‘Grace Period’ applies.
- More than 30 days before arrival: 100% refund.
