This graceful Moonlight Mountain Home on Cowboy Heaven is beautifully furnished throughout with no details spared. Boasting 2,355 sq ft meticulously laid out over three floors, this Moonlight Mountain Home in Big Sky is a favorite with larger groups looking for convenience, comfort, and space. Sleeping arrangements are easy with two lower-level en-suite king suites opening up onto a patio, a queen room on the main level, and an upper-level loft room.
The open-plan great room looks out over the Spanish Peaks in every direction. Fine furnishings, warm leathers and hides, and a roaring wood fireplace make this the perfect place to unwind, reconnect, and renew friendships. The high-end kitchen boasts all you need to feed a crowd, seating all your guests comfortably between the dining table and granite breakfast bar. On warmer evenings the wrap-around deck, set in the pines, takes entertainment to another level with outdoor seating and a BBQ grill.
Perched on the sunny slopes in Cowboy Heaven, Moonlight Mountain Homes have direct ski access to the Moonlight and Madison Base areas and are a lift ride away from endless Big Sky outdoor activities. Your luxurious mountain home is beautifully secluded yet only a ten-minute drive to Big Sky’s hub Mountain Village, and a 45-minute scenic drive to the geological wonders of West Yellowstone.
SKI ACCESS
Ski Access is king at the Moonlight Mountain Homes, with direct ski-in/ski-out access to Moonlight Basin and Big Sky Resort. Access lift start date varies, but typically early to mid-December. Access lifts may close before Big Sky Resort’s closing day depending on snow conditions. No access until lifts open and after lifts close. Direct access to the Madison Base Area Ski School makes morning lessons a breeze.
Ski Out:
Step out the front door and go to the right along the deck to Natawista Trail behind the home. Take Natawista Trail and veer to the left over the bridge to Drover Trail. Then take Cinnabar to Madison Base at Moonlight Basin.
Alternatively you can also stay on Natawista Trail to Bootlegger Bridge. Then follow the signs to Moonlight Lodge to get to Iron Horse and Big Sky Resort.
Ski In:
From the top of Iron Horse lift or Six Shooter lift, follow the signs to Powder River Run (See trail map). Once on Powder River, take the skier tunnel on left side of run. Go past the first right-turn skier bridge. Take second right turn onto Natawista Run. back to the house (second one on the right after the Natawista skier bridge). Alternatively, from the top of the Pony Express lift, take a right and cross Powder River run. Ski under the ski bridge and take the second right to Natawista. The 2nd house on the right at the bottom of Natawista bridge will be your Moonlight Basin Lodging.
