Grey Moose Lodge is a stylish ski-in/ski-out Big Sky mountain lodge situated high atop the Moonlight slopes with dramatic views of the towering Spanish Peaks. This 5 Bedroom 4 Bathroom Big Sky retreat is ski-in/ski-out to both Big Sky and Moonlight Basin Resorts. This home is designed to comfortably entertain with ample indoor and outdoor living space. The Lodge is luxurious and exquisitely furnished throughout with timeless, classic interiors, a touch of rustic, natural elements, high-touch amenities and a high-end alpine feel.
The vaulted great room boasts two separate living areas, a grand 10-seater dining table and a spacious custom kitchen with high-end appliances and amenities, granite countertops and additional seating for 6 guests. A stone-clad wood burning fireplace adds extra warmth and large windows capture the dramatic views and immerse you in the surrounding evergreens. This popular Rocky Mountain retreat has a harmonious connection to luxurious outdoor living on the expansive wrap-around deck , for the ultimate in outdoor entertainment. There is ample seating for the whole crowd, a BBQ grille, 12 seater table for alfresco dining and a private hot tub to watch the skiers by day and stargaze by night.
Grey Moose Lodge comfortably sleeps 13 guests in 5 bedrooms, with space for an additional 2 guests on tri-fold memory foam beds. The timeless interiors and high-touch amenities flow throughout the home with features such as radiant heating in the bathrooms adding additional comfort to your stay. The main level features an elegant en-suite king bedroom and a queen bedroom with an adjacent bathroom. On the lower level there is are two bunk rooms sharing a bathroom and an en-suite king bedroom.
There are more features to be found in this stunning home packed with amenities. The lower level games room is great for kids (big and small!) with comfy bean bags, a flat screen TV for movie nights, bubble hockey, board games and puzzles. Great indoor entertainment! In addition, there is a full laundry and mudroom with ski, boot and coat storage.
Grey Moose Lodge is perfectly situated between Moonlight Basin’s Madison Base and Big Sky Resort’s Mountain Village. A convenient Big Sky location that is not only ski-in/ski-out to both resorts, but puts you minutes away from year-round activities, attractions and mountain events and a great basecamp to explore Big Sky country and the scenic Yellowstone National Park. This majestic alpine retreat makes an inspired starting point for wherever the day takes you!
SKI ACCESS
This property is ski-in/ski-out to both Big Sky and Moonlight Basin Resorts, for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. Lift start date varies, but typically early to mid December. No access until lifts open.
Ski Out:
Ski access is from the downstairs back door which leads under the deck. Turn left & ski along the side of hill, down approximately 10 yards to the groomed trail. To get to Moonlight Basin: take a right onto Twin Tunnels Trail, skiing down to the Pony Express lift. To go directly to Big Sky Mountain Village: turn left on the groomed trail when exiting the back door and walk a short 50 yards up, past the bridge. Take a hard left on the lower Bozeman Trail Access directly to the Mountain Village.
Ski In:
From Big Sky, follow Jay Walk to BTR road toways Moonlight Basin, to Blue Moon. From Moonlight Basin, follow Fast Lane to Blue Moon. Go approximately 2/3rds of the way down Blue Moon ski run and you will see the trail going back towards Big Sky. Follow this to the right of the Diamond Hitch houses. After 200 yards on this trail take the left fork towards the Pony Express Lift and away from Big Sky Mountain Village. You will go immediately under a road bridge and the house is the first one on the right.
