Deer and wild turkey sightings accompanied by Christmas tree farms as far as the eye can see set the scene for your serene vacation. For the more outdoorsy types, Ashe County and neighboring Watauga County offers a variety of activities throughout all seasons including trophy trout fishing, hiking, snow skiing, mountain biking, rafting, tubing and horseback riding. There is so much to explore in and around the West Jefferson area!
The cabin is situated on 3 acres and offers guests 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, gas log fireplace, hot tub, new Smart HD TV’s in every room and a washer/dryer. There is an assortment of family games to enjoy and a fire pit outside, perfect for making smores! Wake up to the soft glow of morning light filtering through the windows, and step onto the deck to savor a cup of coffee while taking in the panoramic views

Enjoy a sunny day on the New River using Zaloo’s Canoes, Kayaks, and Tubes. Public put-in locations are nearby, as well for those bringing their own kayaks!
Additional Notes:
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two.
- Firewood for the fire pit may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week’s notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax.
- Towels and linens will be provided for you.
- This property is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets into this home.
- This home is located off of a moderately steep gravel road that is shaded. AWD or 4WD vehicles are required during winter months (critically important during inclement weather!).
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- This property has 4 exterior security cameras, one mounted on each corner of the house all pointed at the road. No cameras point to the interior of the home or at gathering areas.
CANCELLATION POLICY -
Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of he deposit.
Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
