Welcome to Retreat at Riverbend, your idyllic riverside retreat!
Nestled along the banks of the picturesque New River in West Jefferson, this charming 1-bedroom home is a perfect blend of modern comfort and natural beauty. Newly constructed, the house boasts contemporary design and top-notch amenities, promising a delightful escape for a weekend getaway.
Step inside to discover a cozy and thoughtfully decorated living space, where large windows invite the serene views of the river and surrounding greenery. The open-concept layout seamlessly connects the living room, dining area, and fully-equipped kitchen, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The kitchen comes fully stocked, ready for culinary adventures or a leisurely breakfast before a day of exploration.
Climb the spiral staircase to the open loft where you’ll find a comfortable queen bed adorned with plush linens and tasteful decor. There is also a king size sleeper sofa in the living room for additional guests! The full bathroom is located just off the kitchen on the main level.
Step outside onto the private deck to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy panoramic views of the New River. The outdoor space is perfect for sipping morning coffee, unwinding with a good book, or sharing a romantic sunset with a loved one. A grill and outdoor seating enhance the experience, allowing you to indulge in al fresco dining while surrounded by nature. Enjoy an evening under the stars by the fire pit on a chilly summer or fall evening. The perfect way to wind down following a fun filled day exploring!

Enjoy a sunny day on the New River using Zaloo’s Canoes, Kayaks, and Tubes. Public put-in locations are nearby, as well for those bringing their own kayaks!
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- While Retreat at Riverbend does not offer public access to the river directly from the property, Elk Shoals New River State Park is just a short 10 minute drive away.
- We are pet friendly! We welcome up to two mature well trained dogs for your stay! Pet rent is $25+tax per pet per night. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- Check in is after 4pm and Check out is by 10am EST
- Home has gravel parking with space for two standard vehicles.
- Firewood for the outdoor fire pit may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week’s notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax.
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- Please note the owners have one exterior security camera mounted above the walkway to the front door monitoring that entryway only. No cameras are monitoring the interior of the property or common gathering areas.
- Please note that the distances shown on OTA’s map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
CANCELLATION POLICY -
Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of he deposit.
Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
