Welcome to Mountain Top! Nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of Avery County near the Blue Ridge Parkway and Linville Falls Winery, this custom home is a wonderful fit for your next High Country vacation.
As you drive up the peaceful tree lined street you’ll be breath taken by the long range views throughout the neighborhood. Enter the home with just 4 steps to the covered porch, and once inside you’ll immediately feel your cares melt away as you enjoy everything about this thoughtfully decorated mountain oasis! The great room features a floor to ceiling stone gas log fireplace with a TV mounted above, with a selection of furniture arranged around it.
The kitchen has granite counters and stainless steel appliances including a gas range, and there’s space for everyone to enjoy meals at either the 4 bar stools or at the dining table for 10.
Just beyond the dining area is a fun three-season room with a pool table and fireplace. The double doors into this room can both be opened to expand the fun into the great room!
Time for bed? Mountain Top offers space for up to 17 guests in a total of 6 locations around the house. On the main floor, enjoy a King suite and a Queen suite. Upstairs in the main house is another Queen suite, and there’s a room over the three-season room with a full bed, bunk beds, and a daybed. In the living room you’ll find a sleeper sofa, and there’s a little loft off the upstairs queen suite with a daybed as well.
Step outside and let the cool mountain breezes invigorate you. Kick back on the porch with a cuppa, or as night falls head over into the side yard for an evening around the firepit. Enjoy the newly expanded deck and relaxing hot tub!
With all that Mountain Top has to offer, you may not ever want to leave this beautiful haven. If you do, you’ll find yourself in a great spot to enjoy all of the High Country’s greatest hits. The community of Linville Falls is in southern Avery County, just across from Linville Falls Winery and less than a mile to an entrance to the world famous Blue Ridge Parkway. Spruce Pine is just 15 minutes away and the communities of Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, Marion, and Banner Elk are all around 25-35 minutes away.

- This home is pet friendly! Max of 2 mature, well-trained dogs allowed. Pet rent is $25/nt per dog.
-Check In is after 4pm. Check Out is by 10am.
- The garage is not available for guest use.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement. Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking, or by calling us with a week’s notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
