The Mod Lodge, a stunning mountain retreat, was crowned the winner of The Matsumoto Prize—North Carolina’s most prestigious accolade dedicated solely to modernist residential architecture in 2010. This custom-built home blends contemporary design with the rustic charm of its natural surroundings. The Mod Lodge is a charming, tiny home and a cozy mountain escape. The loft features a king bed and a TV. On the main level, there is a well-appointed bathroom with a tub/shower combination.
Additional amenities include WiFi, a mini-split on the main level, and a washer and dryer. Two dogs are welcome with your reservation. Additional pet fees will apply. The home access is via a short, steep gravel driveway. AWD or 4WD, along with chains, is recommended for winter travelers.
