For winter sports enthusiasts, Appalachian Ski Mountain, with its multiple runs and ice skating, is less than six miles from the home. Downtown Blowing Rock, a mere ten minutes away, is a delightful spot for a leisurely stroll, offering a variety of local shopping and dining options. The park, with its multiple playgrounds and sports courts, is perfect for a family day out. And for some added fun, Tweetsie Railroad and Mystery Hill are less than ten minutes from the chalet. The town of Boone, just fifteen minutes down the road, provides additional shopping, dining, breweries, playgrounds, and the local farmers market in season.

This renovated home features a bright main living area with vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings and exposed wood beams. The large glass doors let in natural light to warm the room and frame the magnificent views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. After a day of skiing or hiking, warm up by the wood-burning fire, relax on comfortable couches, and watch your favorite show or movie. The kitchen, open to the living room and dining room, features stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The back deck is the true star of this home, with Adirondack chairs and built-in seating for everyone to enjoy the fresh air and the serene mountain views. Have your morning coffee or read your favorite book with the best views the High Country can offer. In the evening, gather around the fire pit and roast marshmallows while sharing stories and reminiscing about your vacation adventures.
Blue View Chalet is a welcoming two-bedroom home with an additional sleeping area in the loft, making it perfect for families. The master bedroom on the main floor features a king bed, TV, and a private ensuite with a step-in shower, ensuring parents have their own space for relaxation. The second bedroom on the main floor also has a king bed, TV, and a Jack-N-Jill bathroom. The loft, with its two queen beds, can comfortably sleep four guests, making it the perfect spot for the kids to hang out and play on the Pong multi-game arcade machine, ensuring everyone has a great time during their stay.
Additional amenities include Wifi, central heating and air conditioning, and a washer and dryer. The living room has a sleeper sofa for two additional guests. Two dogs are welcome with your reservation for an additional pet fee. The gravel driveway is level with parking space for three vehicles. The covered entry has only two steps, making it easy to load and unload. We strongly recommend AWD or 4WD for winter travelers, and chains may be necessary for heavy snow or ice.
