A charming log cabin sitting on a peaceful parcel with long-range mountain views from the wall of windows in the great room and a comfortable covered deck. Lucky Bear Cabin is minutes from downtown Banner Elk, with shops, vineyards, restaurants, and conveniences. Other High Country attractions include Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, and Grandfather Mountain for year-round activities, including hiking, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, and disc golf. The exciting Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, 13 minutes away, delights guests of all ages with a gravity roller coaster through the mountains. Boone and Blowing Rock are each under 40 minutes, providing endless attractions and activities on your next mountain getaway.
Step into the open concept great room boasting high vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, and comfortable leather sofas with the wall of windows as the backdrop. Thoughtfully designed with mountain elegance, the kitchen provides a warm space with stainless appliances and plenty of lighting. The dining room and kitchen bar seat all 10 guests for wonderful dining together. A gas grill and picnic table invite you to the deck, where you can grill, dine, and relax in the fresh air. The hot tub is on the front covered patio, and the separate garage game room provides a place to play and lounge. A porch swing overlooks the sloping backyard, where wooden steps lead down to the fire pit and Adirondack chairs for evening gatherings.
There is a master bedroom on the main level with a king bed and private bathroom. Two additional queen bedrooms on the main level share a full hallway bathroom. The open loft area sleeps up to 5 guests with a twin over double bunk bed and a double futon.

This cabin is equipped with outdoor security cameras. Winter travelers should be prepared with appropriate transportation, 4WD or AWD cars, and tire chains.
