Boulder Brook Retreat sits just outside Boone, convenient to many attractions in the High Country. Willow Valley Golf Course is les than five minutes away, and Valle Crucis, the historic Mast General Store, and the riverside Valle Crucis Community Park are just a few miles away. Downtown Boone, home to Appalachian State University, is fifteen minutes away and boasts local dining, shopping, and breweries. Tweetsie Railroad, Appalachian Ski Mountain, Boone Golf Course, High Gravity Adventures Aerial Park, Grandfather Winery, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, and many more High Country adventures are all within a brief 20-minute drive.
Nestled in the mountains, this charming log home offers a perfect blend of rustic elegance and modern comfort. The home is adorned with a large rock formation and small brook. The open floor plan seamlessly connects the living, dining, and kitchen areas, creating a spacious and inviting atmosphere. Central to the living area is a beautiful gas fireplace, its warm glow providing a cozy ambiance. Cozy up on the couch to warm up by the fire after a day of hiking or skiing. Step outside on the covered deck where the bistro lights create an enchanting atmosphere to enjoy your morning coffee or evening drink. Grill dinner on the gas grill and enjoy outdoor dining. The well-equipped kitchen features modern appliances and plenty of counter space, ideal for preparing meals. Enjoy dining around the large table, with seating for eight, or relax at the island peninsula, with seating for four additional guests. The natural beauty of the log interior enhances your mountain experience. Ideal for a romantic retreat or a family getaway, this log home in the woods promises relaxation and memorable moments amidst nature’s tranquility.
Boulder Brook Retreat features three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The top floor is home to a spacious master suite with a king bed and private ensuite bathroom with a step-in shower. The main floor master suite has a king bed, smart TV, private ensuite, and work space. Guests can also access the side deck from the bedroom. The third room has sleeping for four guests in two full beds. An additional full bathroom is located in the hallway just outside the full bedroom. The loft has a full size fold out futon for additional sleeping.

Guests are provided WiFi, central heating and air conditioning, YouTube TV, a hot tub, and a wood-burning fire pit. Up to three dogs are welcome with your reservation, with an additional pet fee. Please note there is a security camera that captures the parking area. The house is accessed via a paved pull-through driveway with a level parking area. Two steps lead from the parking area to the front door. AWD or 4WD is recommended for winter travelers.
