Willow Valley Golf Course is less than five minutes away, while Valle Crucis, home to the historic Mast General Store and the scenic Valle Crucis Community Park, is just a few miles down the road. Downtown Boone, home to Appalachian State University, is only 15 minutes away and offers a variety of local dining, shopping, and breweries. Other nearby attractions, such as Tweetsie Railroad, Appalachian Ski Mountain, Boone Golf Course, High Gravity Adventures Aerial Park, Grandfather Winery, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, are all within a short 20-minute drive. Nestled in the mountains, this charming log home combines rustic elegance with modern comfort. The property features an impressive large rock formation and a small bubbling brook. The open floor plan seamlessly connects the living, dining, and kitchen areas, creating a spacious and inviting atmosphere. At the center of the living area is a beautiful gas fireplace, creating a warm, cozy ambiance. After a day of hiking or skiing, you can relax on the couch by the fire. Step outside onto the covered deck, where bistro lights create an enchanting setting for enjoying your morning coffee or evening drink. Feel free to grill dinner on the gas grill and enjoy outdoor dining. The well-equipped kitchen features modern appliances and ample counter space, making meal preparation easy. You can dine at the large table that seats eight or relax at the island peninsula that accommodates four additional guests. The natural beauty of the log interior enhances your mountain experience. Ideal for a romantic retreat or a family getaway, this log home in the woods promises relaxation and memorable moments amidst nature’s tranquility. Boulder Brook Retreat includes three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The top floor features a spacious master suite with a king bed and an ensuite bathroom with a step-in shower. The main-floor master suite also has a king bed, a smart TV, a private ensuite, and a workspace. Guests can access the side deck from this bedroom. The third room accommodates four guests with two full beds. An additional full bathroom is located in the hallway just outside the full bedroom. The loft features a full-size fold-out futon for extra sleeping space. Additional amenities include WiFi, central heating and air conditioning, YouTube TV, a hot tub, and a wood-burning fire pit. Up to three dogs are welcome with your reservation, subject to an additional pet fee. Please note that a security camera monitors the parking area. Access to the home is via a paved pull-through driveway with a level parking area. Two steps lead from the parking area to the front door.
