Welcome to Summit View
Summit View is an impressive 3BR mountaintop home with a warm and inviting personality. It offers multiple living and entertaining options, as well as the capability to accommodate guests like a 5BR home. Summit View sits above the Blue Ridge Parkway with expansive ridge top views, a nice backyard, and lots of deck space. The level driveway and parking area can comfortably accommodate at least 4 or 5 vehicles and offers covered parking right at the front door. One step up into the front door offers a near-level entry, beneficial to guests with mobility issues. The side deck and a gas grill make outdoor dining convenient to the dining room and kitchen. Two levels of covered and open-air decks enjoy the view and offer impressive outdoor living space with cool mountain breezes. The hot tub is perched view side, under the sun and stars.
The main floor offers a unique open concept floor plan with a central great room that features a wall of windows that frame the view. Both a fireplace and a wood stove offer ambiance and warmth while relaxing in comfortable upscale mountain-elegant furniture. The great room wet bar is yet another perk. Towering vaulted ceilings with exposed beams tie in the adjacent open dining area with a banquet-style table. The bar top with barstool seating allows ample dining for a full house. The fully-equipped kitchen has granite countertops, custom cabinetry, and stainless appliances featuring a gas cooktop. There is a half bathroom/powder room on the main level as well.
The main floor master suite has vaulted ceilings, mountain views, a fireplace, an HDTV, and access to the rear deck and hot tub. There is also a comfy king bed, hardwood floors, and a walk-in closet. The ensuite bathroom offers a double vanity and tiled shower and a tub with a window to enjoy the views.
Upstairs features a roomy loft with comfy seating and a large HD smart TV. The new sofa opens to a queen sleeper. There is also a desk in the loft for those who need to check in on work.
Downstairs features a central den with an HDTV and a day bed with a trundle which provides two more sleeping options. Off the den is a cleverly designed game room, once the garage, now converted into a comfortable year-round "man cave" of sorts with an eight-foot slate pool table, a dartboard, a large HDTV, and more. It is nice and warm on cold winter days, and during milder weather, open the garage door and roll out the grill to make it an indoor/outdoor fun zone for everyone! Many fun things to enjoy outside, like corn hole, and an outdoor, oversized Jenga game, are available for guests to use.
There are two bedrooms downstairs which both share a Jack&Jill full bathroom. Each bedroom has its own private vanity station with a sink and mirror. One bedroom has a king bed with a custom reclaimed barnwood headboard. The other bedroom has two twin beds. Both downstairs bedrooms have huge floor-to-ceiling windows that reveal the view. There is also a laundry room with a washer and dryer for guest convenience.
Allows pets with an additional fee.
