Enjoy a private log cabin nestled in the woods beside the flowing Howard’s Creek just seven minutes from downtown Boone. Convenient proximity in a secluded paradise where you will be sure to unwind. Appalachian State University and the football stadium are less than two miles away, with popular downtown Blowing Rock, Tweetsie Railroad, and Appalachian Ski Mountain within a 20-minute drive. Come, relax, get away from it all, and experience all that the High Country offers.

Streamside Retreat offers two outdoor fire pits, one beside the stream and the other closer to the house, for an evening gathering with friends and family. There is a spacious furnished sunroom, a deck with a picnic table and gas grill, and a covered deck area with a porch swing, all with the sound of the flowing stream in the background. The main floor has comfy leather furniture arranged around the wood-burning stone fireplace and mounted smart TV, and it is open to the kitchen and dining area. An upper-level loft leads to a queen bedroom with a private upstairs bathroom. There are two queen bedrooms on the main level and a family room/game room downstairs. The family room has a sofa, TV, game tables, plus a twin-over-twin bunk for an extra kid’s sleeping area.

This streamside retreat offers lots of wildlife and usable space by the water for families and pets to enjoy. Your dog is welcome with your reservation, and additional pet fees will apply. Amenities include wifi, TV programming with streaming on the smart TVs, a NEMA 1450 Electric Car Charger Adapter, and there is a washer and dryer. Feel comfortable in any season with central heat and A/C. Please note: Smoking, vaping, and tobacco use are not allowed. Hunting is not allowed.
Allows pets with an additional fee paid after booking. The fee is $35 per pet per day.
**Note: Winter travelers should be prepared with AWD or 4WD and chains to access the house in all seasons.
