Four Diamond Escape is perched at a high elevation atop Seven Devils, between Boone and Banner Elk, close to Hawksnest and Sugar Mountain Resorts. Hawksnest Snow Tubing & Ziplines, the town park, and Otter Falls Trail are all less than 2 miles below this home. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort is only about 8 miles away and Beech Mountain Ski Resort is about 16 miles away. Appalachian Ski Mountain and Tweetsie Railroad are both less than 18 miles away. Grandfather Mountain is approximately 12 miles away. The Watauga River is only a few miles away as well and offers fishing, tubing, and more. Downtown Banner Elk is 11 miles away, and the Towns of Boone and Blowing Rock are both about 13 miles away. Restaurants, shopping, and other fun things to do in the High Country are all a short distance from this spectacular, upscale mountain home.
On the main level, you will find an updated kitchen with granite counters and stainless appliances with a gas cooktop. The adjacent dining area seats up to 8 guests at the banquet-style dining table, and the open living room boasts leather furniture, an HD Smart TV, and a floor-to-ceiling, stacked-stone, corner gas log fireplace. There is a half bath/powder room on the main level with a washer and dryer laundry closet. Wood floors, vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, poplar bark accents, a live-edge branch balustrade, and other custom features make this the ideal upscale mountain getaway!
The master suite is on the main level and has a king bed, HD Smart TV, a private, front-facing Juliette deck, and a private ensuite bathroom with a granite vanity counter and two sinks, oversized tiled floors, and a custom oversized step-in shower with rock floor and glass doors.
Upstairs there are two large bedrooms, each with a king-size poster bed, an HD Smart TV, cathedral ceilings, and mountain views from the windows. There is a central bathroom upstairs as well, with a granite vanity and a soaking tub and shower combo, which serves the two bedrooms.
Downstairs features a huge king bedroom suite, an HD Smart TV, sliding glass doors that lead out to a lower deck with a hot tub. There is an ensuite bathroom with a granite vanity, and a tub and shower combo. Also on the lower level is a recently retrofitted game room with a pool table and an HD Smart TV as well. This was half of the bigger oversized garage. Go into the 1-car attached garage from the game room for convenient indoor parking. Park two or three more vehicles on the off-street gravel driveway.
Three different levels of decks enjoy spectacular mountain views and offer a fire table, comfortable outdoor seating, a gas grill, and outdoor dining. Central Heating and Air Conditioning make this house comfortable year-round. Smart TVs with cable programming and WiFi internet keep you connected while vacationing. Up to 3 dogs are allowed with an additional pet fee.
The Seven Devils Town Park, less than 2 miles away, offers tennis, pickleball, a playground, and a picnic area. Also nearby is the Otter Falls Trail which provides a nice walk or hike to beautiful mountain views and waterfalls. Hawksnest is also only a couple of miles away on Seven Devils and offers snow tubing in the winter months, and zip lines during the warmer weather months!
