High on top of Appalachian Ski Mountain, Golden Ridge Getaway is in the center of everything the High Country offers year-round. Appalachian Ski Mountain is a six-minute drive to the family-friendly ski lodge, ski slopes, and an ice skating rink. Tweetsie Railroad, Mystery Hill, and High Gravity Adventures are within five miles of the home. Downtown Blowing Rock is less than ten minutes away, offering local shopping and dining and a beautiful park with public tennis and basketball courts. Hop on The Blue Ridge Parkway, two miles away, and take in the long-range mountain views at one of the overlooks, or hike on one of the many hiking trails. Boone is about twenty minutes away and home to restaurants, shopping, and outdoor activities, including parks and the Boone Golf Course.
Golden Ridge Getaway is a two-level home with a spacious main floor and warm, inviting wood walls. Comfortable leather furniture around the fireplace and HDTV create a cozy, relaxing space. After a day on the slopes, build a fire and warm up with a mug of hot chocolate. The expansive back deck, located off the living room, offers outdoor dining, a gas grill, and spectacular mountain views. The dining area provides seating for six guests and is open to the fully stocked kitchen. Several games are provided at the house to enjoy at the game table. The lower deck is covered and houses a hot tub to unwind in after a day of hiking or shopping. The swing is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee while taking in the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
This four-bedroom three, three-bathroom cottage can accommodate up to eight guests. The main floor features the master bedroom with exposed beams and vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings. The private ensuite has double vanities, a makeup counter, and a soaker tub. Guests are treated to deck access off the master bedroom with a sitting area to enjoy. The lower level houses three additional bedrooms that share a full-hall bathroom. Two bedrooms have queen-sized beds, both with TVs, while the third has a twin bed with a twin trundle and a full-size crib.
Additional amenities include WiFi, central heating and air conditioning, and a washer and dryer. Please be advised that an exterior security camera is in place. The paved driveway has parking for four vehicles. AWD or 4WD, plus tire chains, are highly recommended for winter travelers.
